Sea level rise

Preface:

Over the 20th century as a whole, sea levels rose by an average of around 1.7mm a year with evidence that in recent years the rate of rise has increased. Latest satellite data put the rise at around 3mm a year. The most recent IPCC assessment based on the most gloomy scenario puts predictions of 21st century sea level rise at between 26 and 59cm (10-23 inches).
The influence of rising sea levels:

Accelerated sea level rise due to global warming, has been, or is about to become the coastal zone of major disasters. World in the past 100 years the mean sea level rise of 12 cm to about 100 years later, around 2100, the sea level will rise by 1 meter. If you do not take precautions, we must first submerged large tracts of land and many of the coastal cities.

Some low-lying island countries in the South Pacific and the Indian Ocean will be in the semi-submerged state. While the Maldives about to disappear, because the altitude of the island ground all in between 1 to 2 meters.
